This page explains Honcho's policy on match start times and what your options are if your scheduled time doesn’t work.
📆 Scheduling Basics
Set-Partner Doubles
- Match start times are assigned using the LeagueApps random scheduler.
- While some teams may receive similar times more often, the system is designed to be fair across the season. Depending on the league / season, you may end up facing the same team twice or not at all.
- Honcho does not accommodate pre-season, regular season, and playoff-requested start times.
Ladder League
- Match start times and court groupings are assigned weekly and may vary each week.
- The Swish app generates your group based on prior performance to help keep matches competitive.
- Honcho does not accept start time requests for Ladder League — the weekly group and time are assigned automatically and can’t be adjusted on our end.
🎾 Can’t Make Your Match?
Set-Partner Doubles
Life happens—we totally get it! While we don’t offer reschedules (our court times are locked in ahead of time), you’ve still got a couple of solid options:
- Bring a sub: Find someone around your skill level to step in for one or both teammates.
- Show up early: Arrive 15–20 minutes before your match and see if someone finishing up might be down to sub!
- Can’t swing either? If you truly can’t make it and can’t find a sub, just let us know by submitting a forfeit form.
