This page explains Honcho's policy on match start times and what your options are if your scheduled time doesn’t work.
📆 Scheduling Basics
- Match start times are assigned using the LeagueApps random scheduler.
- While some teams may receive similar times more often, the system is designed to be fair across the season. Depending on the league / season, you may end up facing the same team twice or not at all.
- Honcho does not accommodate pre-season, regular season, and playoff-requested start times.
🔄 Rescheduling a Match
- You can reschedule a match if both teams agree to a new time.
- The new time must fall within the same week as the original match (unless otherwise approved).
- Any court fees incurred as part of the reschedule are the responsibility of the players — not Honcho.
⚠️ What Happens If You Can’t Agree
- If you attempt to reschedule but your opponent does not agree to the new proposed time(s), the original schedule stands.
- If your team cannot play at the originally scheduled time and no agreement is reached, it will be considered a forfeit, and your opponent will be awarded the win.
🙋♂️ Need a Sub?
If you can't make your match, you can find a substitute to play in your place. Be sure they match your league’s skill level.
📎 Check out the Substitution Guide for full details on using a sub during the regular season.
