Weather can be unpredictable, especially for outdoor venues. Here’s what to expect if weather impacts league play.
How Honcho Handles Weather
- Honcho monitors weather for outdoor venues and will notify players by email if delays or cancellations are needed.
- Whenever possible, updates are sent ~2 hours before match time, though conditions can change quickly.
- Each season includes two built-in buffer weeks to allow for weather-related adjustments.
If You Haven’t Heard From Us Yet
If weather looks questionable and you haven’t received an update:
- You may contact the venue directly for real-time conditions.
- If the venue closes, Honcho matches will not take place.
If a league night is canceled, we’ll follow up by email once rescheduling details are confirmed. This may take a bit of coordination — thank you for your patience.
If Weather Stops a Match Mid-Play
If play becomes unsafe and must stop:
- 1 or more full games completed: results stand for the week.
- Game stopped mid-game:
- If a team reached 6+ points, that game may count.
- Under 6 points = game does not count.
- No full games completed: match is recorded as not played and your or your ambassador can connect with our support team via email.
If you’re unsure how to record results, email [email protected].
