This guide explains what to expect each week in a Honcho Same Partner Doubles League, from schedule release to match night.

1️⃣ Schedule Release (Before the Season Starts)
- You’ll receive an email from Honcho when schedules are ready.
- The regular season schedule (Weeks 1–6) is released all at once before the season begins.
- You’ll see exact match dates and start times in LeagueApps, so you can plan ahead. If Honcho needs to make league wide schedule adjustments, updates will be reflected in LeagueApps.
- You may have a bye week (a week off) depending on league size. You might also have a doubleheader (2 matches in one night) to make up for it.
- Bye weeks help us balance the schedule and ensure all teams get 6 matches total.
- Even if you don’t play every single week, your team will still have 6 matches over the season.
📅 Because matches are scheduled in advance, we expect teams to make every effort to attend every match or arrange subs when needed.
2️⃣ Can’t Attend? Send a Sub (or Sub Team)
- If your team can’t attend a match, you’re expected to arrange a sub (or a full sub team).
- Subs do not need to be Honcho players.
- You may ask other Honcho players if they’d like to play in your place that week for extra court time.
🚫 Do not submit a forfeit form if you are sending a sub.
3️⃣ Forfeits (Last Resort)
Same Partner Doubles uses a Match Issues Form, which includes a forfeit option.
- A forfeit should only be submitted if:
- your team cannot attend and
- you were unable to secure a sub(s)
